Saturday was our last day in Dubai, and we made it count. We visited the Jumeirah Mosque, one of the few in Dubai that allow non-Muslims to visit, and then took afternoon tea in Skyview Bar at Burj al Arab. Finally, we did some final window shopping at the Dubai Mall, at the base of Burj Dubai. Read on for more, or check out all the photos from the trip in the gallery.
Our second day in Dubai was filled with relaxation by the pool, followed by excitement in the desert. Both parts were thoroughly enjoyable, and while the weather was a bit cool for spending time in the water, we were thankful for the overcast skies while in the desert.
On our first full day in Dubai, Nathan and I explored the old part of the city, and then made our way back to modern comfort at the مول الامارات (Mall of the Emirates). I even thought I spotted my car a couple times from my hotel room!
Yesterday was my first full day in دبي. (Dubai). I flew in Wednesday evening from Pune (via Mumbai), and met Nathan, who was flying from Cairo (via Bahrain) at Dubai International Airport. We spent most of the day wandering around بر دبي (Bur Dubai, or Old Dubai), and made our way to the Mall of the Emirates for the evening.
