I tried to wake up early today because we had planned on meeting at 12. I thought that was late, but when the alarm went off, then went off again, I reset it for an hour or so later. I was really tired from the lack of sleep the previous day. I had planned on stopping by a museum that I saw on the way to the hostel last night about Galileo, but sleep took precedence.
My technology lead, Siva, invited me and some of my other colleagues to his new flat for lunch. Sudhanshu and Chinna Babu met at my place, and we drove over together.
Siva just moved into his place two days ago, so he was excited to have guests. His fiancé Seema made a number of delicious Indian dishes, all of which were excellent (and none of which were too spicy, something with which she was concerned on my behalf). There was a chicken curry, a mutton dish, a kind of spicy chicken soup (kodi iguru, I think), some chicken fried rice (Indian style), and chapatis. We washed it all down with Kingfishers. All in all, an excellent occasion. I also took some pictures from Siva’s balcony, and on the way to his flat.
