Because of the Bix activities this weekend, last night was a bit of an early night. The storm that blew through the area caused the early end of the River Bandits game, and when I returned to Woodhull I found a town totally without power. I did manage to get some decent lightning photos, though!

Sensing that watching the same episodes of 30 Rock over and over after I get home from work is perhaps not the best use of my time, I asked Avdhut to take me to a Crossword (an Indian chain of bookstores) in Krome Mall. (Astute readers will note that this is a different location of the same chain from which I collected Nathan upon his return from Mumbai.) I wanted to get a copy of The Economist to read while out to dinner, and thought I could find some other books to read when I’m not otherwise being productive.

On the way back, I took some photos, and added them to the gallery. Here are some highlights.

I've been spending my day today doing my final packing for my upcoming trip to India. A couple of items of note:

• I saw during lunch that the Weather Channel is forecasting 4-6″ of snow for the Chicago area over tonight and tomorrow. This is expected to cause flight delays and otherwise disrupt travel across the area. It remains to be seen whether my 7 p.m. flight tomorrow will be affected.

• The Illinois House of Representatives voted to impeach Governor Blagojevich due to his corruption.
